All the fancy text styles on FontGen are made with Unicode characters. They do not work like regular fonts. They are letters and symbols from many alphabets and symbol sets that are put together to look like fonts.

Please consider your audience and the place where you will use these styles before you use them.

Screen readers and accessibility

Screen readers and other assistive tools may not recognize these characters as normal text. They may read each character by its full name, skip it, or read it in a confusing way. If your audience includes people who use screen readers, it is best not to use fancy text for anything that matters. See our accessibility page for tips.

We have not tested every style with every screen reader, so we cannot say which styles will be read as normal text. Results can differ between screen readers, versions and devices. Always test your text with the tool your audience uses.

Display and compatibility

Unicode is widely supported, but not every device, app or font includes every symbol. On older systems some characters may appear as empty boxes or look different from the preview.

Some websites and apps limit special characters in usernames, bios, passwords or search fields. Check the rules of the platform before you use styled text there.

Search, translation and copying

Search engines, spell checkers and translation tools may treat styled text differently from plain words. A styled name may not be found in search, and a styled sentence may not translate correctly.

The tools on FontGen are provided as is, without any promise that they are free of errors or suitable for a particular purpose. You use the text you create at your own risk and are responsible for how and where you use it.

Third-party names

FontGen is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, X, Discord or any other platform we mention. Their names belong to their owners and are used only to describe where styled text can be pasted.
