About FontGen

FontGen is a free online tool that turns regular text into fancy text styles. Type a name, a caption or a message, and the page shows it in more than 200 styles such as bold, italic, cursive, old English, bubble, small caps and upside down. Tap a style to copy it, then paste it anywhere.

Every style is built from Unicode characters. Unicode is the international standard that gives each letter, number and symbol a code, so the result works across most phones, computers, browsers and apps. You do not need to install anything or create an account.

Why we built it

Most social apps, chats and forums give you no way to change fonts. We wanted a fast, clean and free tool that works on any phone, with a simple flow: type, pick, paste. We keep the pages light and the interface easy, so you can get your styled text in a few seconds.

How these styles differ from real fonts

The styles are not fonts from a font library. They are Unicode symbols arranged to look like fonts, so they may not be read as normal text by screen readers or search tools. Please read our accessibility and disclaimer pages before using them for anything important.
